It wouldn't matter if they said
These simple pleasures will soon be dead
Because you can only meet god in the wood shed
Stimulation brings us to god
Serve forever
Nothing's real anyway
Minds create god
It doesn't matter what's on the page
Only that the writer felt god when they made it
This is my god and i will serve it
Right up until the bitter end
It doesn't matter that it doesn't matter
It only matters that i'll soon be dead
This is my language and i will serve it
Don't contribute and you don't deserve it
It doesn't matter that what it is anyway
It only matters that i made a new phrase
Suffering the only way to rise above monotony
A path filled with discipline gives meaning from within
Tell myself it matters but i know it never will
Nothing matters anymore

Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
