SouthernWolf The music nerd in me revels in each perfect, intricate composition. The metalhead in me loses his shit and grins like an idiot under the vicious, pummeling assault. Fawn Limbs has become a monstrous force, and I struggle to name other bands who can match their power.

flightoficarus (Metal Trenches) Fawn Limbs mix highly technical performances with harrowingly bleak atmosphere to craft a sound that is like a more kinetic version of Ulcerate. A highly focused blast of meticulous math and grind from current and former members of Psyopus, Mireplaner, Artificial Brain, and Commit Suicide; with mixing from Pedram Valiani of Frontierer and Sectioned. It's no wonder that this talented group of musicians have managed to make waves.

supercoolguy Instead of going for “nuts crushed by a rock” this time these guys made an album that’s like popping brain vessels in the middle of your sleep. Idk I’m just reaching at this point tbh but it’s a good album and a good follow up Favorite track: Metrae.

Snared within an unknown skin An echo of weeping and gnashing teeth What stares back from the mirror isn't me But a malformed, haunting distortion Hooks in the corners of my mouth Suspend this wavering body Flense it off, free me Flense it off, free me The uninvited, they glow in dismay The unwelcome, they gather to watch And they gawk at me like a piece of hanging meat But they don't know I'll gouge their eyes out They don't know I will devour them They don't know the pain I'll inflict upon them They don't know

Metrae 02:18
Worming inside the womb, alight Endless blight grown from a trifling fucking ion To see how frail this flesh really is Eating the sun to relive the span of pure warmth Dissociate the strength from the marrow and carve out the futile, ostentatious vigour Dissociate the strength from the marrow Hurt will retrace your every step Left for dead to obtain some perseverance Fainting while being dragged down to the hole where the varments nest Worming inside the womb, alight The hole where the varments nest Eating the sun Left for dead Dissociate the strength from the marrow Fainting while being dragged down to the hole where the varments nest Hurt will retrace your every step Dissociate the strength from the marrow Dissociate the strength

The vermin massif lurching beneath the bone A profound cesspit of woes, heartfeltly nurtured Beaten to develop character To forge fear out of trust A ceaseless atrocious cycle In awe of harm and trauma The listless frame narrates of the moment when the breath escapes My soul has abandoned my flesh A vacant body left to commemorate Vowed to protect with a promise of shelter Blinding light enveloping Reiterate the actual purpose of this fucking anguish, as it got lost somewhere in the translation The harbour's burning, flaring brightly In awe of harm and trauma The listless frame narrates of the moment when the breath escapes My soul has abandoned my flesh A vacant body left to commemorate Language of delight transmuted into a one preaching of endless and aimless violence Endless, aimless The vermin massif lurching beneath the bone A profound cesspit of woes To draw the blackest blood a human can offer Restrain and confine them with love To draw the blackest blood, is to love

Famine Vows 02:00
Life is like climbing a stepless ladder to be reborn To be absolved from the clutches of your own flaws escaping stature Sprawling between the ears, a malady All pursue's to no avail Grown from mud, kept in a cage The hunger loses significance Irrelevant famine vows Speaking for justice rebounds into a harangue spat from a voiceless vent All is black now Languish within a decrepit crate Starving by will to attain an end Grown from mud, kept in a cage The hunger loses significance To be reborn, to be absolved To be restored, to be absorbed Calm down the brutes breathing debris All pursue's to no avail All is black now Arranged to rigid, suggestive postures Like the icons the conquerors bow to Please themselves to the sight resembling a routine expedition to the human psyche Looking for a deeper meaning amongst all the sinews and tendons Calm down the brutes breathing debris All is black now

Dead eyes cloaked with green cloths to terminate the faulty views of the plebeians quarantined Speaking with a mouth transpiring death threats to possess the last glimpse of power Dreaming of air Tightening the bottleneck until it shatters leaving us floating face down in a pool of auburn glass And the shards stroke their cheeks as they're weaving bonds from silk to patch the holes in the concrete ocean Halos radiate, torching the noble thoughts to mere dust Choking on blood as the splinters drip down our shit coated throats Sating our hunger for freedom through incisions We can't see the one thing lying right in front of us, we can't see the one thing, we can't see Bleed out, peel the tar stitch off and bleed out

Grow up before you grow old No lesser will suffice in the absence of space and time No time to be incapable of moving mountains Draw yourself together, no time to be indolent Grow up now Feral species running amok Deplete the echoing well from where your fiends drink and cut them with drought Cut them down I can't submit to this process Cascading rogue, drowning the masses I must attain peace and quiet And pass through the swarm of invertebrate fauna Who are you to look the other way Let go of my arm, I can walk just fine Who are you to to guide me on how to survive Grow up before you grow old No lesser will suffice in the absence of space and time No time to be incapable of moving mountains Draw yourself together, no time to be indolent
7.
Haul them away so that they're still within view Still within the length of a scream No body shall be left unturn Open their laps to receive my breath Open their hearts to receive me

Tresspasser 01:31
Trespass on a skin that's not yours to tread upon The caverns allure with their warmth Mapped out by your soiled and broken, worn out fingers This is eminence outweighing consent Pure malevolence in a molten form Indolence in exchange for much less violence Aching lust to hew the ore of a detached soul Invade to a body that's not yours to scour The canvas is blotted but hollow Peeled by embarrassment Trespass on a skin that's not yours The caverns allure with their warmth A lightless thorax, arching bones collapse Arching bones collapse Gazing black holes, teary eyes opalized Battered fragile being Stripped of grace, drained and erased

No one will heal, no wounds will dry No one is safe No one will flee from this The wheel weaves deceit as it reels The wheel weaves No one evades this fucking mess The wheel weaves deceit as it reels Loathing disguised as a gentle request to stop I resonate and implode as the palm I wish to sever nighs me anew Hover between two equally sickening exits Bend back into form or depart alone Submit to an abiding internal conflict No one will heal, no wounds will dry No one is safe No one will flee from this But I choose to depart from you I choose to depart from you The wheel weaves deceit as it reels The wheel weaves these sleeper vessels Bound to condescend, pressured to break Coersed to a limp communion Sleeper vessels

Ruiner 02:06
Do not let this bother you Everything is dying Do not let this interrupt you Keep mounting your ashen throne A compound to illustrate the wreckage The heaps of parched bone Do not let this avert you Silenced and entombed Do not let this irritate you Soaked in piss and torrid foam Disposed to an abyss Margined with a myriad of gagged mouths This is an invigorating voyage through the sloughing pharynx Nicked by the canine teeth cloaking the trail to the maw, to dissolve I am not your shepherd Plunge into the vortex structure Profit fetched through flesh gears Dissolve in the grand maw Vortex structure, dissolve in the acid to arrive home We're all being raised to fail Do not let this bother you Ruiners without a hole to crawl back to

Blackened and disgraced for what’s its worth, I’m walking But not until you know I’ve spoken Let’s hear the chant I’ll scream from my electric insides Power down this network, it’s failing from its beginning In a fit of rage, I awake Scars appearing from impaling bolts of energy Why mustn’t we harness this in hopes to be free? In a fit of rage, I awake I awake I awake
12.
Subtle Abuse 00:47
Gather like a fucking strain of flies Upon a derelict flesh attire God has landed here amidst its malign kind Foraging somewhere Subtle abuse - a cause for a silent movement Mores to cauterize the pulsatile and divine wound Throbbing orifice A swarm of negrophages circling Above the husk of a barren orb Like a fucking strain of flies on a derelict flesh attire

Flaying the chastised to deliver an oath Turbulence of thoughts blurred with vile ideals As the errs mount up higher than any peak Transpire the abscess of a man As the vortices spit back retribution To spite the face, excite murder to dull the gnawing, consuming pain To spite the face, revolt the knife against the throat of your own procreator The wafting dust settles in between the tarnished and sprained jaws The grinning teeth ground to grit and the lying tongue chewn off Realize there’s no state of mind Inside the spiral lines as the blackness engulfs and chokes us in recheted cloaks Revolt, tear, rebuild, new air There's no light within these walls you mounted to bury the glitch in your innocence Dispatch the closing moan to signal defeat and acquiesce to the abysmal blackness I am ascending, I am emerging A nascent treason nurtured in your shadow The gradience of rescue and exposition Dissipates into radiance of unfettered being Leave now, and leave me be

about

“Fawn Limbs are the mutant, mongrel offspring of every musician that ever wanted to burst your ear drums and make you wince with physical pain from listening to them. Sleeper Vessels is a scathing, sadistic, stabbing, bludgeon of an album that has just breathed a new breath of foul, stinking air into a scene that was flatlining.” Stephen Hill, MetalHammer.com

"Their full-length debut Harm Remissions was one of my favorite records of 2019 and debatably one of the best 10 grind records of the last decade. And only a year later, the band is ready to unleash another full-length on us...an (sic) auditory beating it is, this album is quick to get to the point but not so much that one might think they know the score." MetalInjection.net

“They deliver a raucous stampede of hypersensory assault only capable of the most dedicated dealers of sonic darkness. Mix in some noise elements and light industrial experimentation in tracks like “Photovoltaic Hum”, and Sleeper Vessels becomes a nightmarish endeavor only outdone by our own cold, unfeeling reality.” MetalSucks.net

“Transatlantic progressive grindcore trio Fawn Limbs have only been around since 2018, but, goddamn, they sure sound like seasoned veterans...” DecibelMagazine.com

“Fawn Limbs transform themselves, over the course of just under twenty-eight terrifying, tumultuous minutes, into a whirling dervish of destruction and disorder, one which zigs and zags, jerks and jags, with seemingly random, reckless abandon, whenever you least expect it...one of the best albums of the year.” NoCleanSinging.com

“At its blackened core, Fawn Limbs delivers raw, unearthed sludge that's molded into monsters and beasts wicked and sinister, and their goal is to f**k your brain up real good.” InvisibleOranges.com

"Sleeper Vessels is an instant classic among the greater mathcore pantheon, and will be warmly embraced by supplicants of Ion Dissonance, Frontierer, Xythlia, and the later works of War From A Harlots Mouth. If you’re experiencing the same amount of neural fog as the rest of us these days, let this album be the electrified hammer you use to pound your brain into submission." HeavyBlogIsHeavy.com

"Constantly chaotic, nauseating and heavy." MetalStorm.net

"Mathy, chaotic grind is still the name of the game, and while I won’t claim I can make much sense of it, at least I’m not completely overwhelmed by it, either. Songs like “Trespasser” and “Corruption Aperture” are completely bonkers, so much so that you kinda can’t help but be in awe, but the latter offers a good example of the frequent quiet passages that offer some much-needed peace and which I don’t remember from the last album." ToiletovHell.com

“If you’re a fan of the kind of brain-melting musical chaos groups like Discordance Axis, Meshuggah, and Ion Dissonance are known for, Fawn Limbs have you covered." NoEcho.net

"The maelstrom of sonic abuse can at times overwhelm, especially to those not au fait with this level of extremity, but dig in, scratch off the surface level of noise and this is an album that has you reaching relentlessly to put it on again and relive it once more." InvictaMagazine.com

"Obviously there are going to be similarities drawn to bands like Car Bomb – Fawn Limb even tries its hand at the laser beam sounding guitar – and Frontierer (the record being mixed by Pedram Valiani) but what this band does isn’t an imitation of those bands, rather a further progression of the mathgrind genre." AstralNoizeUK.com

"At many times on the album, there are numerous things going on at once, with shrieking technical guitar work, pummeling drums, industrial/noise elements, layered vocals, all hitting the listener at once. Honestly it can be a little overwhelming at times. That's what this album is all about though, its about overwhelming and shocking the listener and it definitely achieves that." CaveDwellerMusic.net

"No need for a long speech, Sleeper Vessels may start off in a rather atmospheric way (“The Irrelevance Of An Exorcism”), but that is all the better to explode in your face." Eklektik-Rock.com

"Probably the most violent and vicious album of the year, Sleeper Vessels is a non-top barrage of grindy, mathy, blackened hardcore. As calculated and sharp as all the breakneck riffs and tempo changes are, the band keeps things nice and noisy which is probably why I like them so much. I have listened to this album over 4x now and I discover something different every time. "This is pure grimy disgusting mathcore." SleepingVillageReviews.com

"A heavy, ungoverned, deranged, monochromatic and tumultuous mix of urgent grindcore and technically barbaric mathcore brutality." Strugatsky Alumni

"Sleeper Vessels doesn't waste a single second of it's 28 minutes of playtime and bombards the listener with jaw-dropping beefy riffs, spasmodic dissonance, frantic drum grooves, gritty vocals and elements of industrial electronics, breakbeats and noise." The Noise Blog

"This is like being smashed in the face with a baseball bat, whilst you're being stabbed in the back, whilst somebody's setting you on fire." Riot Act Podcast

"...Sleeper Vessels does not allow any real moment of relaxation. The record is constantly under the stream of a manic performance, and creates the trick of never appearing constructed or overloaded; not to produce monotony, but without being really multidimensional. Sleeper Vessels, compared to the debut, besides its sound, also develops far better the overall dynamics and variable flow in its intricate madness, so it is an enormous step forward on several levels." HeavyPop.at

"Let's put it like this, 'Sleeper Vessels" is a journey to the extreme world that has no end, because its various influences used are so well placed that it seems they had been worked on for years..." Dargedik.com

"After the spectacular "Sleeper Vessels", where we see the group giving their best, everything from there is going to be downhill and without brakes." Zona-Zero.net
