lyrics
What exists in space?
A great expansive place.
Can't be the only race.
Something like us with horns?
With dicks covered in thorns?
Maybe allergic to corn?
Shit is mindblowing.
We live on a tiny island
not knowing what is over the horizon.
Untold things.
Things we can't believe,
things we can't perceive,
things we can't conceive.
Don't forget that once we had giant lizards roaming our planet.
Stories about aliens with giant eyes,
maybe those stories we've been told are not lies.
Anything could exist
we don't know
what is sown.
Chair people that consume telephones.
Maybe iphones we just don't know.
There could be some dark force
consuming,
engorging,
stars light years away from where we're living.
We are nothing,
not worth something,
not worth loving.
The infinite expanse beyond our brain,
is not something we can hope to contain.
Thinking about it can make you insane.
It's not worth the strain,
it's not worth the pain.
Please keep in mind that we are just nothing.
Have no power to make us into something.
No qualities to make us worth loving.
We're irrelevant beings,
in the context of things.

Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
