lyrics
A quiet mongrel caught in a forest fire
A quiet mongrel caught in a forest fire
Dripping thick muddy fluids
Oozing from it's belly
Bloodless fractures
In from the stomach, glide right through
Rapid stream on a paved downhill
Gyrating lifeless, nearing the thrum
Throbbing lungs, pant and gasp
A quiet mongrel
Oozing from it's belly
In from the stomach, out through the backbone
Tufts of fur on the tips of the branches
Composing a colossal arch
The waters here are acrid
The food here is rotten
A pile of carrion
"And that's when I knew I had to leave
I dragged myself forwards,
My body bruised, my palms and soles covered in ulcers
Blood and shit clinging to my skin like a reeking coating
Light ached, I felt irrelevant
Towing a bag which contents I'd rather not speak of
Past the occasional piles of carrion, my thoughts drowned to the thrum of Darwin Falls in the distance"

Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
